This is the first time I write something on Reddit, be merciful… like Thanos These are all very crazy ideas that have crossed my mind since I saw Avengers Infinity War this Thursday. There are SPOILERS and excerpts of what happened in Infinity War. AND IT'S A LONG TEXT. I know that my English is not very good ... so, Google help me a little. So, here I go... DETAILS, FACTS AND THEORIES FOR AVENGERS 4 BASED DIRECTLY FROM INFINITY WAR: Doctor Strange bets, simply delivering the Time Stone, knowing that all the actions that are carried out from that moment are
adjusted to the vision of the only possibility between 14.000.605 to beat Thanos.
When the battle is over and Thanos wins, the original Avengers (2012) are alive.
Shuri is presumed alive, like other secondary characters. Possibly she managed and completes the way to separate the Mind Stone from Vision’s body and system.
She hid everything just when the Black Order arrived for Vision.
These data and information are the key to reviving Vision, taking into account the contributions and new developments that Bruce Banner and Tony Stark will make.
Hawkeye is presumed alive and following the effect of the Gauntlet,
his family dies/disappears, giving Clint Barton the impetus and motivation to stop being Hawkeye (and leave the "dependence" of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
and to become Ronin. His strong training as agent and spy are key to discover and support Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers, who was advised by Nick Fury.
Scott Lang, Hope Van Dyne, Janet Van Dyne and Hank Pym
contribute and deliver the knowledge learned in the Quantum Realm, following the events that will happen in Ant-Man & The Wasp, following Captain America: Civil War. This knowledge is based on the use of Quantum Realm as a form of interconnection of dimensions, at sub-atomic level, an undefined space. This allows three things:
- Time travels
- Multiverse travels and
- Direct interaction between them.
This may be the reason for the
filtered recording images of Avengers 4, in which Tony Stark (modern or present 2018) is seen next to Scott Lang and Bruce Banner in the battle of New York that takes place in Avengers (2012) .
The device they show in their hands is the one that allows entering and leaving the Quantum Realm.
Tony Stark and Bruce Banner will carry out a
detailed investigation of the steps they have taken in all these years, looking for some detail that allows to understand even more the operation of the Stones and how to use them against Thanos
[*] This investigation will be supported by Shuri and Hank Pym (this may be a sort of
start/cameo of the Illuminati in the MCU).
[*]: Gaining a better understanding of how the Space Stone works can allow Avengers to get ahead of Thanos in the search for the Stones. Or, travel between dimensions and universes to get help (Avengers from other universes?). The reason for this "time travel" can be for the following:
- Notify Steve Rogers of the importance of the events that happen in Avengers 1 and what will happen in the future.
- Request from Thor the Tesseract to study it and use it as a potential weapon or necessary element for a weapon or object, before taking Loki to Asgard along with the Stone (as in the end of Avengers 1).
- Use the portal opened by the Tesseract to go to a specific place that may be useful for the future.
- Tony, Bruce or Scott would not touch the Mind Stone (Loki's Scepter) to avoid raising HYDRA's suspicions and not interfering in the creation of Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Vision.
- Tony, Bruce and Scott give a Quantum Realm device to Captain America in 2012 to make a "time travel" [**].
- Warn Thor and Loki about future events.
- Possibly, some early contact with Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers with more details for her or exchange of information.
[**]: Of the 4 that possess the device, he is the only one that presents his suit from 2012, that is why he is not the Steve Rogers from Infinity War (present 2018). Is Rogers from Avengers 1. The reason for giving a device to it, possibly, is to "time travel" into the past, between 1943-45, maybe to save the Redskull from being transported by the Tesseract to Vormir where the Soul Stone is
(or just to kill him), not becoming the Stonekeeper, allowing Thanos not to have the Stone, not knowing how. (Is very crazy this idea, I know) Thanos knows about Tony Stark, as he points out in Infinity War, as a result of what happened in the battle of New York in Avengers 1 and the vision revealed by Scarlet Witch in Age of Ultron.
When using the Gauntlet and the 6 Stones with their desire to erase half of the universe population, it breaks or deteriorates, no longer allows the Stones to be used together, just only individually. This allows an advantage for the Avengers.
Perhaps by depriving Thanos of one (or more) Stones for possible events to develop in the past, they allow the universe to be fully restored, thus "resurrecting" all Avengers and missing allies and privileging the advantage in favor of Avengers. (This does not mean that Infinity War does not become necessary, all is necessary and as Doctor Strange suggests, its part of the endgame).
DETAILS AND “LOOSE” IDEAS FOR AVENGERS 4: These ideas can happen or… be nothing (like all this text and theories). Eitri, if he is alive, can have important information about the Gauntlet. Maybe he knows some detail that serves to defeat Thanos. Something similar to what Erik Selvig did in Avengers 1.
Captain America/Steve Rogers will fight to die. His main action will be carried out "in the past" and then, by giving "the last attack", will give the opportunity for Bucky Burnes/White Wolf to become the new Captain America finally.
Tony Stark/Iron Man, still emerging victorious with the Avengers, will retire definitively as Avenger and as Iron Man, leaving Harley Keener (the kid from Iron Man 3) to be his successor. Also, it allows Tony Stark to remain as advisor (and that Robert Downey Jr. can appear in future cameos as Tony Stark).
Thor, has a chance to die in the final battle or, survive, being one of the outstanding winners and ally with Guardians of the Galaxy in the future (Chris Hemsworth has shown interest in continuing to personify Thor).
War Machine/James Rhodes will die in battle. He already survived Civil War and Infinity War. It will be played until the end in Avengers 4. Then, another character can take the War Machine suit.
Barton, Romanoff and Banner, along with Bucky, Parker, Strange, Danvers and T'Challa form and head the New Avengers. Barton, Romanoff and Banner form a new SHIELD, taking a more "directional" place and the others are the "brute force" of the Avengers. To these can be added Scarlet Witch and Vision, Shuri, Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Hope Van Dyne/Wasp and Sam Wilson/Falcon.
Nebula can give the great detail to be she who can beat Thanos, removing the Gauntlet and restoring the universe, this directly related to the comics. At least, it would have the motivation of revenge against Thanos for the death of Gamora and the mistreatment of the titan against herself.
Captain Marvel / Carol Danvers is the one who will star in the main (or final) attack against Thanos. She will further link all the events that happened from Avengers 1 to the present, involving Guardians of the Galaxy and other characters or races.
THINGS THAT COULD BE REFERENCED FOR THE FUTURE OR POSSIBLE POST-CREDITS SCENES: The destruction of Xandar, not shown in Infinity War, gives reasons for the appearance of Nova, as a sub-plot to be developed in the future of the MCU.
It could give a clue to the existence of the Fantastic Four, it can be either directly or a wink (maybe Reed Richards bought the Stark Tower).
A wink is given to the existence of a whole "species" of enhanced humans or mutants, enabling the future inclusion of X-Men to the MCU.
Do you think that there could be the possibility of the inclusion or cameo of any of the Defenders in the plot of Avengers 4?
